A unique 'cello shaped bass with narrow ribs made in America in the first half of the 19th century. With its pine top, typical of American-made instruments, this easy to carry 3/4 size bass has a deep full sound but plenty of attack, making it perfect for arco and pizzicato. Fully restored, with a new ebony fingerboard and a custom fingered C extension by Bill Merchant with Rob Anzellotti's capos.
